Rarebirds Interiors reimagined the Plumbline Auckland showroom as a tactile, textural and design-led retail environment. Located in Auckland, this commercial interior blends product display with architectural detailing and integrated workplace functionality. Curved joinery, oak panelling, stone surfaces and bespoke cabinetry reinforce the Rarebirds approach to high-end, experience-driven interiors. This showroom challenges expectations for commercial design and elevates the customer experience through thoughtful materiality and spatial flow.
Awatere Project Role:
The Sussex St project is a layered architectural extension and interior renovation of a weatherboard villa in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Designed by Rarebirds Interiors in collaboration with Jones Architects and Norwest Build, the home honours its heritage while embracing a modern transitional style. This award-winning project was a 2023 Home Magazine Interior Awards Bathroom Finalist and received a Regional Gold Award and Top 100 NZ House recognition from the Master Builders House of the Year Awards.
